Does Gwyneth Paltrow ever tire of her own perfection? Apparently not.
As she makes her way through the talk show circuit promoting Country Strong (yes I am excited to see it, whatever), Gwynnie's already made a slew of interesting fashion choices. And by interesting I mean wearable and cool. While she openly talks about drinking Bloody Mary's every morning (she's so Method) to get under the skin of her boozing ex-Country star character, Gwyneth continues to be (well at least dress like) the coolest girl in school.
As if getting that Cee-lo song stuck in my head for three days wasn't enough, Gwyneth insists on messing with me. On the early show princess Gwynnie wore a suede Tory Burch dress that could only be described as utterly awesome (and I'm not even the biggest Tory Burch fan) and now I must have it, or something similar to it. I can't get it out of my head (Kylie Minogue).
Is it me or are style goddesses Gwyneth and Miss Moss committing the ultimate fashion sin? Seems KM liked the very sexy one shouldered dress GP rocked to the Ralph Lauren Wimbledon party that she chose an eerily similar little number for the unveiling of Mario Testino's exhibit in her honor, Kate Who? Kate the Great feted herself in style in the one shouldered LBD, adding uber high pointy toed stilettos, her signature smokey eye and some serious party time hair. Meanwhile Gwynnie went on a more casual route with hers pairing it with brown gladiators, a long pendant and hair definitely less likely to party.
Who do you think perfected the one shouldered LBD? Vote after the break...
It's no secret we go totally nuts almost every time Gwyneth Paltrow leaves her house. There's something about the Coldplay loving, haircut inspiring (no really, start counting how many girls you see a day with a long bob who's front is way longer than its back), Shakespeare in Love star that makes us just admire the crap out of her seemingly together perfection. She'll always be the girl in high school that's way too cool and impeccably dressed but who seemed like she just threw on that leather jacket without a care in the world. Sure she's got a tad of pretension to her, but wouldn't you be a little pretentious if your godfather was Steven Spielberg and your best friends were Madonna and Stella McCartney? Anyone? Pretensions aside I'll never forget how much I wanted her Sliding Doors haircut back in the day and her white barely there slip of a Calvin Klein dress at the Oscars with Brad Pitt. Now that was a couple am I right? Sorry Brangeloonies. I digress...
Point is, Gwyneth has been taking her Tracy Anderson toned legs out for a long walk while on her Iron Man 2 promotional tour, and I'm loving every single second of it. Shorts, mini dresses, elegant sheaths, a crazy cool cropped black leather jacket and sophisticated gowns to boot. And all just in the past week. Whether you like GOOP or not (we do), take a look at the looks that had us crowning Gwyneth this week's most stylish star.
PS - She's clearly in NYC and was strangely absent from the MET Gala. Weird.
It's tough to say who was hotter at last night's Iron Man 2 premiere in LA. First contender, the lovely Ms. Goop herself. Gwyneth wore an Armani short suit with a slight golden sheen to it. Only Mrs. Chris Martin, and her Tracy Anderson toned legs, could make this look so incredibly sophisticated. Not the biggest fan of the black booties, wish she kept the whole thing a little lighter.
Second up, the man that can make any movie delightful - Robert Downey Jr. Now I'm not one of those who jumped on the RDJ bandwagon post comeback, I've always hoped that he would take his triumphant place in Hollywood history. I was randomly watching Chances Are last night and he's just so charming it's crazy. Case in point he almost manages to upstage Gwyneth in his head to toe Lanvin look. My favorite parts: the matching tie/sneakers combo and the beyond fabulous flower pin.
See more from the Iron Man 2 premiere after the jump!
alas a Thanksgiving coma kept me from posting my favorite looks from the tail end of the week. quit judging, didn't you guys all take a day off? though i have to say i miss stuffing already... take one last quick look before we vote on the best of Thanksgiving week!
Ok all, I have been a bit preoccupied lately and have dropped the ball. I'm FINALLY able to sit down and catch up on all things Paris Fashion Week (aka PFW). Just a little taste of some of my fav celeb sightings in the city of light this season!
It's taken me quite some time to get over the loving chaos that was NYFW. And I say chaos in the nicest way possible, sometimes chaos is necessary in life right? From my experience this was one of NYC's funnest fashion weeks in years - people seemed psyched at everything (minus one psychotic casting director who's career needs to be over and sent to anger management stat), smiles on faces - even Anna's - parties, glamour, a billion air kisses and way too many celebrity sightings to even count. My how things change in a season right?
Ok so back to the subject at hand, my point is that NYFW was so much fun that London Fashion Week followed with an equal amount of excitement. After all, no one does fashion like those Brits - at least in my opinion - and it was the 25th anniversary of LFW, a big reason to celebrate. Trenches and booties non stop were the name of the game, and London was It Girl central for the past week - Kate, Alexa, Gwyneth, Liv, Emma, Posh, Pixie, Peaches etc etc etc... And that was all at just one party!! To celebrate their return to the London stage, they had previously been showing in MIlan, Burberry threw the most star studded and infinitely cool affair of the week, not to mention the chicest runway possible. Oh, and the best front pairing I've ever seen. Take a look after the jump.
