It's Only Fashion favorite Nicole Richie headed north to Canada this week (see her casual travel look here) to promote her House of Harlow jewelry line. After stopping in Toronto the pregnant reality star was off to Montreal to launch the collection.
Always a girl after my very own heart NR was in thick black tights, a flapper-esque dress and tons of House of Harlow.
Nothing like a heavy dose of mid-week fashion do's to get you through until tonight's all new Lost...(sorry is that just me?)
It's about damn time, I know.
Needless to say it's been a bit of a crazy few days and time has been extremely limited.
So I'm finally catching up, which sadly means I haven't even looked at anything since last Thursday!!! Can you believe it?
In any case, lots going on, it seems Nicole Richie is the belle of the ball these days, making many appearances and toting her baby bump along with her. I still refuse to watch The Hills but at the same time look at LC as a fashion icon, pathetic I know.
So here's yet another apology for another long absence...let's hope this time the promises of continued posting sticks...
Ok, there were four looks that I absolutely adored at the end of this week and I hadn't gotten around to posting yet.
Had to throw these in there before voting on our favorites from last week.
Love how springy everyone is feeling lately...if only it actually got over 40 degrees here in NYC!!
Just when you thought it was safe to walk by Bryant Park again...here comes Fashion Week.
What can I say, it's a love hate relationship that's developed over a few seasons of endless envelope stuffing nights, list making and seat chart coordination mixed with the nervous day of show anxiety and final sigh of relief when everyone takes their seat and the first model hits the runway.
Everyone’s pre-fashion week tensions seemed unusually high this season with the added bonus of recession anxiety all around. I almost started to believe that Fall Winter 2009 Fashion Week was going to be quite subdued and somber.
I was wrong.
Parties, glamour, the very highest end of fashion and a who’s who of fashionistas worldwide… Needless to say the usual bevy of celebrities were afoot.
Now, Fashion Week is technically not over until tomorrow but I figured with my tardiness and this much ground to cover it’s time to get started. I’m not resting until Saturday.

Since I'm having some serious technical difficulties and my galleries are still not working, I'm forced to post here all in one. I've had some troubles posting, hence the tardiness on some of these...but here we go. Here are some of my favorites from the past couple of days...I love weeks like this!!
Diane Kruger in Nina Ricci at the Gala against AIDS in Paris (sigh she was accompanied by boyfriend Pacey Whitter)
Angelina Jolie in Ralph Lauren FINALLY!! Something age appropriate and that doesn't look like a mumu!!
Keira Knightley debuting her fabulous new very full very blunt bangs in Chanel at the Chanel Haute Couture show
Are they trying to tell me something? Nicole Richie also got new shorter bangs...Ok I think it's time for me to get bangs again everyone! This is my most favorite look this week (yes yes I'm biased)...Loving her hippie chic look in a kimono dress and oversized clutch, I want this to be my Spring 09 look!
Mischa Barton in Elie Saab also at the Gala against AIDS in Paris (continuing her Tour de France if you will)
And last but not least...yet another High School Musical 3 premiere with star Vanessa Hudgens in an adorably teen like pink Moschino dress.
Feels like the economy's making everyone dark and gloomy these days.
Is it me or are all these girls wearing a whole lot of black on the red carpet lately? LBD's, black gowns etc...
Last night was no stranger to this phenomenon as you can see above.Ginnifer Goodwin, It's Only Fashion Favorite Nicole Richie and Lauren Conrad all rocked mini black D&G numbers to the store's opening last night - thank god for RBils in blue.
I love the mini dress/skirt with dark black tights look more than anything, and it's basically all I wear in the winter time. But was definitely needing some variety at the D&G event - so thanks to Ginnifer Goodwin for the big bold necklace with matching tan shoes.
It amazes me how one person can possibly have so many "do's" when it comes to personal style.
Doesn't it seem like Nicole Richie just throws on the first thing she finds in her closet and looks fabulous?
Ok, we all know it must take her hours of hair and make up plus thousands in stylists to look like she was born with style - after all, remember Nicole pre Rachel Zoe...
No matter what it takes, I always think she looks sophisticated and very cool... check out her weather perfect long sleeve LBD and leopard print scarf. Granted her hair is probably extensions but I want hair that long again so desperately.
It's hard to tell if the shoes or the scarf are my favorite part of the ensemble... thoughts?
Yes I am aware that I'm obsessive...and recently I've obsessed (yet again) with the way Nicole Richie dresses.
Here she is running errands in LA, in probably my most coveted item for fall - an animal print Jenni Kayne top. I just love Jenni Kayne, so simple, so clean, so easy to wear... if only I could have the whole fall collection (or even just this one piece!). It's no secret I also love a knit beret, wavy hair and skinny jeans.
See more from Jenni Kayne's Fall collection after the jump (you'll sigh over the yellow peep toe booties too).
