So if I say the name Debbie Hunt, does that mean anything to you guys? No? Yes? Maybe? That's disappointing gang, I expected more from you.
For those of you who've never seen the poster child of grunge 90s classic Singles (one of my favorite movies of all time) I'll explain. Debbie Hunt = Sheila Kelley. Sheila Kelley = Debbie Hunt.
"come to debbie country..."
Now, why am I telling you this? I guess it just serves as a fun little trivia segway to talk about Sheila's amazing, body changing work out S Factor. Now many of you may not know this, but aside from celebrity fashion, random 90s trivia and an undying love of face wash - I'm also totally obsessed with working out. Well more specifically trying fun different types of work outs. And Sheila Kelley's S Factor fits right in.
Sorry so late, but at least you get it all in one place right? Cannes has to be one of the most glamourous weeks of the year and the Hollywood set dresses to overly impress. The premieres, parties, galas et al.
Kate, Eva, JLo, Diane, RBils etc etc... after the jump.
Forget the Oscars, Hollywood's truly most fashionable night is officially the Costume Institute Gala. I can only say Holy amazing red carpet Batman!!! I've never seen so many incredible dresses on so many insanely stylish women all in one place. Doesn't hurt that the inspiration was American style through the ages. I think all the ladies seemed to conquer it. Keep reading for some of my favorites. I don't think there's one that I can say did this year's MET Ball any wrong. It's unbelievable!
I'm not sure if you've heard (insert obvious sarcasm here) about this little store opening that's going on today in NYC. Yes, I will be walking over to the giant SoHo flagship of the first ever US Topshop and getting in line to hopefully get my hands on some London inspired Spring pieces. And yes I've been awake since 7 (I NEVER wake up that early) with excitement and have had several cups of coffee.
And it looks like I'm clearly not the only one excited...Over the past two days Sir Phillip Green (that's the owner of Topshop) has hosted two sets of dinners at Balthazar and private shopping events for VIPS (ie celebrities and their hangers on), my invite must have gotten lost in the mail. Last night's event gave us a glimpse of the girl everyone's been hoping to see, Miss Kate Moss herself is on the other side of the pond to help Topshop celebrate their US opening (again for those of you who have not heard she has this little line that she designs for Topshop, sorry I'm a bit too snarky this morning)...
So while I wait to muster up the strength to check out the store, why don't you take a look at some of the fabulous people who got first dibs on the fabulous dresses, waistcoats (I'm pretty sure that's British for vests), jumpers (again British for sweater), bags, shoes, skirts etc etc etc
Let's just hope they have some pieces left in my size when I get there
I hope these celebrities all plane pooled to D.C. from L.A. for the inauguration, would really be the environmental thing to do.
Jessica Alba, Demi Moore, Beyonce, Sting, Bono, Shakira, J.Lo, Marc Anthony, Jay Z, Beyonce, Usher, Courteney Cox, Anne Hathaway, Kim Raver, Ashley Judd, Teri Hatcher, Ashton Kutcher, Tobey Maguire, Denzel Washington... I mean I could go on for ages and ages and ages.
Here are a few of my favorite looks from the inaugural weekend...
My first thought watching my E! Golden Globe Red Carpet Special (is it wrong that I miss Joan and Melissa Rivers?) was, wow, I have a lot to cover. My second thought; wow, that's a lot of gold, and beige and gold/beige toned dresses...
Interesting since lately it has felt like a sea of black dresses.
Are the stylists of Hollywood getting the memo that it's time to lighten up?
J.Lo (in a dress that made me sick with nostalgia for her green Versace dress from the late 90s), Demi Moore, Vanessa Hudgens, Amanda Seyfreid, Megan Fox (sadly sans the Notorious B.A.G.), Saint Angelina herself, Kate Beckinsale and Penelope Cruz all opted for tones that went according with the award...Golden.
Wow I thought the site of Kate Bosworth in gold was enough for the day but last night's Women in Hollywood Awards hosted by Elle magazine was an insane parade of the most fabulous women in Hollywood.
So many amazing moments in fashion... my favorite is of course Mrs. Wiseman aka Kate Beckinsale, looking like a goddess in a one shoulder Derek Lam gown. She happens to be one of my favorite actresses since she was in Much Ado About Nothing all those many many moons ago. (Pictured here with Sheryl Crow)
No one knows how to turn out glamour like the other Becks and she pretty much kicks a red carpet's ass every time - of course she is a death dealer...ok sorry nerdy Underworld reference...
Other highlights after the jump... including:
Courtney Cox Arquette, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Mendes, Nicole Kidman etc...
