Blame it on Rio, or the fact that I'm a very patriotic Brazilian, but I'm starting to really like the Cruise-Holmes's.
The craziest thing I might have ever said I know. But, their recent trip to Rio has really solidified my belief that they might not be totally insane after all.
Please don't judge me. Like I said, it may just be the Rio effect, I am after all a Carioca. (that's what we call Rio natives fyi for you gringos)
In any case, Mr. & Mrs. Cruise and Suri have been jaunting all over my home town awaiting the premiere of Operacao Valquiria (Valkyrie in Portuguese).
Which has given Joey Potter the excuse to break out some of her resort/spring/summer wear. Really kind of loving the 70s throw back in her wardrobe.
Check out some of her Rio-rrific looks after the jump.
Seems like Mary Louise Parker is developing a love affair with Carlos Miele.
She wore a strikingly blue dress from the Brazilian designer to the Golden Globes, and she chose another Miele design for the opening of her new Broadway show "Hedda Gabler."
This time she went with something a bit more on the cocktail side - in a mini blue-greenish dress.
I heart Zoe Kravitz.
Who else could pull off the return of the Angela Chase look?
ok, maybe it's more Rayanne Graff but nonetheless it's pretty spectacular.
Makes me wish I hadn't gotten rid of all my chunky boy flannels in 1996. It also makes me want to break out the My So Called Life Complete Series DVD set I only watch on very special occasions.
Gotta love Sundance for inspiring grunge chic...
Mr. Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel celebrated the opening of their mobile art pavillion in Central Park last night. (can't wait to go!)
The expected creme de la creme of the Hollywood and Fashion worlds were of course on hand, and looking marvelous in Chanel.
Here are some of my favorite looks from the evening.
Who do you think looked best in Chanel???...
I have a serious love/hate relationship going on with Katie Holmes.
I love the way she dresses casually in her day to day - like going to Brunch, taking Suri to the park, Build a Bear, etc...but most of the time I hate what she wears on the red carpet (see white silk jumpsuit).
She has great personal every day style and is able to capture that effortless cool we always talk about, looking perfectly put together but not trying too hard.
Here she is in the perfect brunch outfit for the newly arrived cold in NYC - a chunky grey cable knit sweater topped off with a Celine black wool trench.
If only she could bring her casual cool to the red carpet - we wouldn't have to go through another jumpsuit situation.
