Just when you thought it was safe to walk by Bryant Park again...here comes Fashion Week.

What can I say, it's a love hate relationship that's developed over a few seasons of endless envelope stuffing nights, list making and seat chart coordination mixed with the nervous day of show anxiety and final sigh of relief when everyone takes their seat and the first model hits the runway.

Everyone’s pre-fashion week tensions seemed unusually high this season with the added bonus of recession anxiety all around. I almost started to believe that Fall Winter 2009 Fashion Week was going to be quite subdued and somber.

I was wrong.

Parties, glamour, the very highest end of fashion and a who’s who of fashionistas worldwide… Needless to say the usual bevy of celebrities were afoot.

Now, Fashion Week is technically not over until tomorrow but I figured with my tardiness and this much ground to cover it’s time to get started. I’m not resting until Saturday.

All of Hollywood goes to Washington...

I hope these celebrities all plane pooled to D.C. from L.A. for the inauguration, would really be the environmental thing to do.

Jessica Alba, Demi Moore, Beyonce, Sting, Bono, Shakira, J.Lo, Marc Anthony, Jay Z, Beyonce, Usher, Courteney Cox, Anne Hathaway, Kim Raver, Ashley Judd, Teri Hatcher, Ashton Kutcher, Tobey Maguire, Denzel Washington... I mean I could go on for ages and ages and ages.

Here are a few of my favorite looks from the inaugural weekend...

So much going on this morning - so little time!!

The Glamour Woman of the Year Awards is one of my favorite events. I had the honor of attending last year and it was so inspirational. It's also an event attended by some of the most amazing women that Hollywood has to offer - the kind of women that use their fame to make a difference. But even these girls have to get ready for a red carpet...

The Hollywood Dominos event has now come to NYC (after events in London and LA) and of course the best dressed set all came out to help the Art of Elysium charity...

And many many more events...film festivals, charities, premieres...these girls never get a day off!

Check out some great fashion moments from the last couple of days...

I love the smell of Chanel in the morning...

Mr. Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel celebrated the opening of their mobile art pavillion in Central Park last night. (can't wait to go!)

The expected creme de la creme of the Hollywood and Fashion worlds were of course on hand, and looking marvelous in Chanel.

Here are some of my favorite looks from the evening.

Who do you think looked best in Chanel???...
