Well, that didn't go so well did it? I was all sorts of excited for my grand return to the world of celebrity fashion blogging and counted The People's Choice Award as my first hurrah. I'm completely and utterly underwhelmed. Anyone else?
What a painfully boring red carpet. Where were the Glee girls? Where were Diane Kruger and Pacey Whitter? Where was anyone else besides the Kardashians and Taylor Swift? And so much J. Mendel it's safe to say the brand is the official spokesperson of celeb cocktail dress chic?
Ok, ok... maybe I go too far. Yes Jennifer Aniston was there - and Leighton Meester and Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman. But their sartorial choices did not make up for the lackluster red carpet. It was all nude basic colors in short cocktail dresses. For once I'm glad for the likes of Kristen Stewart and Katy Perry for injecting a little life into this Awards season kickoff.
Let's read on for what I liked, disliked and was just plain bored out of my head by at The People's Choice Awards.

ok so should we just go right past the apologies and the excuses and the talk about food poisoning and no sleep and busy-ness and go right to laughing about my very long absence? No? Sorry kids, it's been an interesting couple of weeks and I've disappointed myself by letting you all down. Today we move right past this awkward incident and right to talking about our favorite topic.
Who knew? Jennifer Aniston showed us there is fashion outside of fashion week last night at the LA premiere of her new movie Love Happens. The former Friend seems to be following trends as she showed up in one of my favorite looks for fall - the long sleeved mini dress. I normally don't go for Jen's basic look, I find her kind of boring, which is fine but she's just normally not my taste. However, I will say that she looks unbelievable in this metallic Valentino number (was she taking notes at the VMAs or something?). One boring thing I do always love on JenAn, is when she keeps her hair and makeup natural - it totally works for her. Thanks for giving us a little NYFW break Jen, and now back to your regularly scheduled programming. More Fashion Week coming your way...

At an event attended by industry heavy hitters like Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Demi Moore, Sheryl Crow, Kirsten Dunst - who would have thought the biggest style stand out would be Tallulah Belle Willis, Demi Moore & Bruce Willis's daughter. Tallulah showed up her mom and everyone else at the premiere of Demi & Courteney Cox's short films for Glamour's Reel Moments. In a very modern and young Opening Ceremony navy blue silk mini dress and black clutch and Laboutins - she really wowed everyone, we always knew she was the fashionista of the Moore Willis crew.
