I have zero interest in seeing The Spirit. Yes I know I'm supposed to be into graphic novels etc, but I've always found Frank Miller to be a bit too gruesome for my taste (I was not a fan of Elijah Wood as a blind cannibal in Sin City, but that's just me).
But last week's various events promoting the new movie brought out stars Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes in what felt like the greatest pairing since Thelma & Louise.
5 - count them - 5! Red Carpets...
You think these two are friends in real life? If not they should be...if only for the shopping trips.
I love Scarlett's younger, edgier wardrobe, but Eva's Sophia Loren like looks and very classy 50's starlet outfits (a lot of Bill Blass and Michael Kors) made her the week's standout.
Finally, it was Nicole Richie's turn. There was no way to overlook her this week... she did attend every event possible in the greater Los Angeles area.
She changed up the looks, going for grecian goddess one night, mod It girl the next and finally her standard boho chic in a gorgeous paisley gown and braided updo. I like how she went hair down all week and finished it off with the updo - very "new mom" of her.
Good work NR, maybe it was the mini reunion with Rachel Zoe, or maybe it's just her innate style, but Nicole Richie rocked the red carpets just like it was 3 years ago.

It was a tough choice... I mean granted today we are all voting for a new president and here I am agonizing on who wore the best clothes all last week.
Oy -ok, so after hours of deliberating this week's It Girl is Ashley Olsen! Half of the twin star gazzilionaires, Ashley and sister MK were all over the place promoting their book Influence...and Ashley certainly did it in style. Looking like the sophisticated business woman she is, Ashley wore The Row pieces for most of these appearances, including - liquid leggings with a white button down and a boyfriend blazer paired with a LBD that sent her straight to the top of our best dressed list.
Since Kate Bosworth is out of the It Girl of the Week running, we turned to the runner up.
Mischa Barton has devastated me over the past year or so with her over the top trying too hard fashion disasters.
Just last week she was seen in some upsetting boho attempt that made me want to call Josh Schwartz and beg him to give her another tv show.
Then this week I started seeing her looking actually looking cute in trend driven yet not over the top looks - love that Herve Leger dress & the ruffled George Chakra number she wore to the Vanity Fair Exhibit. She's looking her old relaxed California girl self with the blonde waves too!
Is this really happening? Could Marissa Cooper be back??
I certainly hope so - after all the early years of the OC were some of my best fashion moments thanks to Mischa...let's hope she keeps it up and is really getting her mojo back.

Or just a tool in positive visualization? If I think I dress like Kate Moss, I will dress like Kate Moss...ok, maybe I've read "The Secret" one too many times.
In any case, Ms. Moss is my pick for It Girl of this week. Not that she is not perfectly attired every time she steps out on any given week,but this week the intro of her new sleek bob really upped the ante and took me by surprise... No secret that I'm loving this new sleek bob look (look what it did for Gwyneth) and have actually been holding myself back from cutting the necessary 4 inches off my hair to get this look. Maybe this is the push I needed.

Is it me or is Vanessa Hudgens kicking ass on the High School Musical 3 Premiere circuit?
It's a little scary to sit and admire the cutting edge fashionable wardrobe of a 16 year old (or is she 18?)....
In any case, I'm a big fan of mini dresses, 20's inspired looks and anything with a bit of a sparkle to it.
Oh to be fresh faced and young and to be able to rock these amazing Jimmy Choos! Also kudos on wearing the necklace twice - love it!
