ok, maybe this one is more like Louis Vuitton je t'aime...a gaggle of fashionistas flocked to Marc Jacobs as per usual for Louis Vuitton's SS2010 show...
It's taken me quite some time to get over the loving chaos that was NYFW. And I say chaos in the nicest way possible, sometimes chaos is necessary in life right? From my experience this was one of NYC's funnest fashion weeks in years - people seemed psyched at everything (minus one psychotic casting director who's career needs to be over and sent to anger management stat), smiles on faces - even Anna's - parties, glamour, a billion air kisses and way too many celebrity sightings to even count. My how things change in a season right?
Ok so back to the subject at hand, my point is that NYFW was so much fun that London Fashion Week followed with an equal amount of excitement. After all, no one does fashion like those Brits - at least in my opinion - and it was the 25th anniversary of LFW, a big reason to celebrate. Trenches and booties non stop were the name of the game, and London was It Girl central for the past week - Kate, Alexa, Gwyneth, Liv, Emma, Posh, Pixie, Peaches etc etc etc... And that was all at just one party!! To celebrate their return to the London stage, they had previously been showing in MIlan, Burberry threw the most star studded and infinitely cool affair of the week, not to mention the chicest runway possible. Oh, and the best front pairing I've ever seen. Take a look after the jump.
Yes I've been absent again. It's sadly become common place.
But I'm catching up and will hopefully be up and running like normal as of this afternoon.
Looks like this week has been all about Milan Fashion Week and all about Dolce & Gabbana (with a bit of Marley & Me in there too).
I wonder if Dolce flew everyone there in one private plane?? Can you imagine??
Oh and it's just not fair that Gisele is beyond perfect.
Hollywood's A-listers (and A-listers to be like It's Only Fashion obsession Freida Pinto) have been going crazy for Azzaro lately.
It seems every event, award, premiere etc can't go without the presence of Azzaro's timeless dresses (my two favorites: Keri Russel and Rosario Dawson).
And it's apparently not going to end there. Azzaro's designer Vanessa Seward hosted an event in Paris during Couture shows to present two new capsule collections - April March for Azzaro (designed by singer April March) and Bertrand Burgalat for Azzaro (a men's collection designed by Seward's husband Bertrand). Does this mean we'll be seeing Azzaro on Hollywood's most fashionable men?? One can dream.
Loving the April March collection, very indie and young feeling! Can't wait to see this on various red carpets...
Check out images of the April March collection and from the event after the break...
I FINALLY saw Slumdog Millionaire this weekend and needless to say, my obsession with Freida Pinto continues. Beautiful, talented and extremely stylish.
Freida was on hand at the DGA Awards this weekend, where Slumdog Millionaire took home yet another award.
Not surprising, she looked amazing. Wearing a one shoulder golden Zac Posen dress and Jimmy Choo shoes.
Amazing, and natural. Love the hair and the makeup - stay true to your ingenue roots as long as possible!
More images of Freida shopping (at H&M!!!) and looking effortlessly chic after the break... fashionable on and off the red carpet.
Needless to say this week was all about the Golden Globes. Yes we saw some really great post Globes fashion efforts but the bulk of my time was spent examining and re-examining Globes fashion.
You picked your top three Golden Globes ladies and the results are in. No shock to Brangeloonies...Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace was in the number one spot, Freida Pinto in Christian Lacroix came in a very close second followed by Mary Louise Parker in Carlos Miele.
Congrats to the ladies and their stylists...
Ok, so it's pretty safe to say that Freida Pinto is the Rachel Bilson of 2009 (you know, as in I'm obsessed with Rachel Bilson's wardrobe).
I know, crazy thing to say coming from me, but after her stunning Golden Globe Lacroix dress we are really hooked on her style.
And now she shows up at the Film Critics Association Awards in a Gaultier dress so perfectly on point that she didn't even need her beautiful hair down or much in the way of make up to draw attention to herself.
A hit indie film and apparently an amazing stylist - let's just hope she doesn't lose her clearly very sweet demeanor.
Ok it was near impossible, but I narrowed it down to 10 best dressed.
So let's narrow it done to one from this group and one from the next, to see who your top two favorites are.
Am I being terribly unfair? Did your favorite look not make it up here? Let us know!!
