How much have I loved seeing Hermione Granger (also sometimes known as Emma Watson) front and center at Paris Fashion Week this season?
She's becoming a Fashion Week staple and rubbed elbows with the likes of Natalie Portman, Claudia Schiffer, Leigh Lezark, one of our favorite bloggers Mr. Derek Blasberg, and not to mention Anna herself at some little shows like - Giambattista Valli, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Sonia Rykiel and seen here at Chanel.
Not that we are surprised at how much she's grown up (she's almost 19!!)...but I guess if Harry Potter can go naked on Broadway, Hermione can become a fashion socialite.
Here she is at Chanel looking perfectly teen sophisticate in black leggings and a silver number.
Angelina Jolie glowingly stepped back into the limelight after the birth of her twins looking absolutely 100% perfect (seriously it's just not ok) in a black strapless Versace dress at the premiere of her new movie "The Changeling." I honestly have no words about how just insanely gorgeous these two are - it's unfair to the rest of humanity... ok yes you can call me a Brangeloonie...
Around the same time Mariah Carey (yo Mariah, you on fire...sorry couldn't help it) visited the Bank nightclub at the Bellagio in the same sweetheart neckline pairing it with black tights and a casual looking up do. She has been looking amazing these days - reminiscent of her Dreamlover days - but... how can you face off the Mother Superior?
I usually love Anne Hathaway and her style. There's something about her lately that is just so sophisticated - maybe it's the hair, maybe it's the boyfriend going to jail (either way). So here is Anne on her way into the David Letterman show to promote her new movie "Rachel Getting Married"
I have to say I wasn't all that thrilled with this look - while the hair and the jewelry keeps up her recent sophistication, the Marc Jacbos wrap dress doesn't seem to fit her all that well. She looks a little bit like she's wrapped in a big bag and the large polka dots give her a very matronly look.
My disappointment is three fold - Anne, Marc Jacobs and her usually trusty stylist Rachel Zoe (well probably more Rachel's assistant Brad!)
How cute is Amanda Peet? Have loved her since she was in one of my favorite movies "She's the One" (love that Ed Burns) and of course one of those fantastic yet so painfully cursed one season greats - "Jack & Jill." How good was that show? I'm still devastated they cancelled it. Well soon we can see Amanda in the new X-Files movie, X Files 2? Sorry I'm a snob but I never gave X-Files much of a chance, though David Duchovny rules. I know I know. Anyway, here's Amanda showing off her stylist's best work on the Tonight Show.
Figured I'd start my very first fashion posting with one of the afore mentioned favorites- Rachel Bilson, R-Bils. I've been a huge fan of Rachel's style for years and have to say i've definitely used some of her looks as inspiration. She always comes off effortlessly adorable and recently really sophisticated, but like she's not trying too hard (one of my biggest pet peeves) - she's just naturally cute. She very rarely breaks the boundaries of overly trendy - ok a couple of times but no one is perfect.
Here's little Rachel wearing a Mayle dress while running errands in LA. She looks camera ready and yet like she doesn't care... tough life being a celebrity, always having to look great while looking like you don't care. Anyway, saw this look and thought it worked perfectly as my first "look of the day"... after all nothing quite gets me like a hippie dress, flats and a high ponytail. And love the raybans.
