This post was put on a little hiatus due to a severe case of indecisiveness. See, I just couldn't wrap my head around how I felt about Nicole's velvety Emilio Pucci one armed dress (by the way that made me say One Eyed Willy in my head).
Harlow's mom chose a very Bohemian intricately printed purple velvet dress to celebrate her Lucky Mag cover in LA this week. Now as much as velvet and I hate each other I had a hard time dismissing this look completely. I started thinking that this was the type of thing hippie and mod chicks from the 60s would have worn. If she had clicked in some super straight long extensions with some Jane Birkin-esque bangs, I would've had no doubt about it. But the short wavy hair was a little too common place for such an interesting dress. For now I'm voting "like" but who knows where my head will be at the end of the day, I'll let you know if I suddenly switch gears.
More one shouldered fantasticness after the jump! more, more, more...
time to play a bit of catch up on the week. yeah i know i know...
If you're a nerd like me then comic con is one of the more exciting weekends in your year. If you're not such a nerd, you can still appreciate the fantastic fashions. After all, the Hollywood starlets take every opportunity to show off the best they got, even at a comic book convention.

there's always so much hype behind award shows, that I wonder if the stars even enjoy themselves.
The pressure of waiting to find out if you won the award, the pressure of presenting, the pressure of wearing a couture gown and walking a straight line?
Ok, so maybe the last one's not so bad. But in any case, at Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards the pressure definitely seems to be off and everyone is just having fun. Even Slash was there...(if I have to explain who that is to you, then I just might cry)
Looks like the clothes are doing the same...staying light hearted and having a good time. Check out my favorites from this weekend's show.
Before the week officially ends, let's take a look at just a couple more moments in Hollywood fashion.
Just when you think it's over, there's yet another premiere, fashion week, insert random event here... It's a never ending fashion roller coaster...
While everyone eagerly anticipates the Oscars Red Carpet showdown, my own personal favorite Award Show goes on the day before.
The Independent Spirit Awards - call it Award Show Lite. Sure it becomes a bigger circus every year (kind of like Sundance, anyone remember when Sundance was a little independent festival and not a Swag / Gift Bag / Suite Fiesta??) but it's still the most casual and laid back show, it's even in the afternoon and at the beach.
And since we here at It's Only Fashion love seeing celebs in their most laid back every day wear, The Spirit Awards is the sort of in between.
Cocktail dresses, open toe sandals, floral sun dresses... gotta love it.
Check out my favorites from yesterday's Red Carpet after the jump...
