J'ADORE THE 2009 CFDA AWARDS
OMG, OMG, OMG...and I never use that acronym. But I have no other words to describe last night's Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards.
Fashionistas, models, celebrities, reality stars, socialites and of course designers galore. The CFDA's is probably my favorite night in fashion, it's not as costumey (pun intended) as the MET Ball and much cooler than the Oscars, and of course we are all about the cool kids.
Take a look at the complete list of last night's winners below - including Alexander Wang whose Gap CFDA collection hits stores today (already ordered the whole thing online!)...and after the jump see who wore what last night!
Board of Director's Special Tribute - Michelle Obama
Womenswear Designer of the Year - Rodarte's Laura and Kate Mulleavy
Menswear Designer of the Year - A tie between Calvin Klein's Italo Zucchelli and Band of Outsiders' Scott Sternberg

...stay tuned for the men of the CFDA Awards
Daily Style...CFDA Madness

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards brought some fashion savvy girls out to honor the evening's nominees. Doesn't it seem like every Fashion event is now completely dominated by celebrity presence? Not that I'm complaining, it gives me something to write about.
First off, I'm beyond excited that Alexander Wang won the night's big award. How adorable is he?
But let's follow that with some of the evening's designer starlets:
Charlize Theron accompanied John Galliano wearing Dior (obviously) - a bit too dominatrix for me, and at first glance I thought she was Paris Hilton.
Blake Lively was supporting the Vena Cava girls, I dont like what this dress does for her, it's frumpy and the paring of it with boots made her look like something out of Little House on the Prairie.
Oddly enough, Juliette Lewis had my favorite look of the night. In a sequined 3.1 Phillip Lim jumpsuit...the shoes make no sense to me but from the ankles up I absolutely adore this look!
Daily Style...Leighton Meester
Leighton Meester looked amazing at the CFDA New Members Event this week.
I love the simple classic black dress and the rosettes on the bright blue heels.
Looking great as per usual B.
