And I don't know if it's my upcoming birthday but Selena Gomez is starting to make me feel beyond old... but oh so grateful for fresh faces in fashion.

I'm never a huge fan of the way Beyonce dresses, especially on the red carpet. Always a bit too much going on - a little too much sequin, too much feather, too much pouf (I know it makes sense for her and it works most of the time but just not my style)! But she really impressed me at an event to promote her line House of Dereon and her new movie Cadillac Records (where she'll play the legendary Etta James) at Bloomingdales. In a House of Dereon (naturally) little black dress - she was looking like a glamorous super star worthy of the starring role in the Etta James biopic... We know this muted fashion sense can't last forever, but glad to see it even if it's "One Night Only"... Did I just make a Dreamgirls reference?? I'm a bigger dork than I ever could have imagined!!!!
