met ball roundup: who gets your best dressed vote?
Ok kids, it's about that time, to bring forth the rhythm and the rhyme...sorry I take any chance to break into Marky Mark song.
It's time to vote for your favorite most wonderfulest best dressed girl at the MET Ball. Obviously it was really tough narrowing it down, but I made some tough choices and decided upon the following six ladies. I welcome your disagreements and write in votes! (Zoe Saldana and Chanel Iman were close calls!!)

never been so impressed: the met costume institute gala...
Forget the Oscars, Hollywood's truly most fashionable night is officially the Costume Institute Gala. I can only say Holy amazing red carpet Batman!!! I've never seen so many incredible dresses on so many insanely stylish women all in one place. Doesn't hurt that the inspiration was American style through the ages. I think all the ladies seemed to conquer it. Keep reading for some of my favorites. I don't think there's one that I can say did this year's MET Ball any wrong. It's unbelievable!
it's a walk off, it's a walk off...anne hathaway vs. anne hathaway...

You know what it's like when you buy a new dress and it fits so perfectly you want to wear it to every event you have possible for weeks? I definitely suffer from new outfit OCD and clearly so does Anne Hathaway.
The Alice in Wonderland star first wore French label IRO's Vayate dress to a press conference for the film in Hollywood way back in February. And then low and behold, she's in the same dress 2 weeks later on the Ellen Degeneres show. And who can blame her - the dress is the perfect mix of French "je ne sais quoi" and California cool. Expect to hear tons more from IRO, the label was founded by brothers Laurent and Arik Bitton in 2004, has two Parisian boutiques, counts European It chicks Vanessa Paradis, Lou Douillon, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Melanie Laurent as fans and if their company goal - embellishing the urban woman by offering her endless options of simple, yet bold clothing, enabling her to transform from day to night - is any indication, they will swoop Hollywood (and my heart) by storm.
Find out where you can snap up Anne's IRO dress after the jump... more, more, more...

daily style: battle of the sparkling dresses...anne vs. kristen...

By no means am I implying these dresses are identical. However, something about them just strikes me as eerily similar, especially considering they were worn on the same night.
Anne Hathaway stepped out across the pond in Vivienne Westwood for the highly anticipated world premier of Alice in Wonderland. Anne's Vivienne Westwood had the signature VW neckline, a more brownish color and a lovely draped side. She paired it with ruffled Casadei pumps, Stephen Webster jewels and very red lips. Something about her here screams Julia Roberts to me, but what do I know. I kind of love the sort of messed up hair, who knows if it's the rainy London weather or if that was the hair style's intent. Either way it works for me and gives Anne this sexy grown up thing she's lacked a few times on the red carpet.
It's Only Fashion fave Kristen Bell was feeling the Thursday night sparkles all the way on the other side of the world at the Costume Designer's Guild Awards in LA. Kristen chose a golden glistening Stella McCartney for the occasion, perfectly netted with a nude tule disguising the low cut of the dress. Equally as pretty and sparkly as Anne, but with a California girl spin to it. Don't you think?
