It dawned on me while watching the 4th (and final Brenda Walsh) episode of the new 90210 just how much I missed the 90s. 

Then it dawned on me how unbelievably fashionable the girls on this show are...I mean granted Kelly Taylor drove a red beamer but her clothes were never cutting edge fashion and poor Brenda was just trying so hard to keep up with the Beverly Hills crowd (one of my favorite scenes is Brenda getting ready for her first date with Dylan and the clothes she tries on are really just the most hideous things, poor girl). So I found it quite interesting that the new girl in town automatically has her West Bev style figured out... and then I thought what does that say about the teenagers today and how they shop so much more, are much more interested in fashion and spend money on designer everything!! So I went back and watched the first episode of both 90210s (owning the DVD set of BH90210 I have that luxury) - the only thing I hope is that some of those girls are getting their outfits at Forever 21 (oh and thanks to Jessica Stroup's "Silver" - it upsets me to call her that as to me she is Erin the daughter of Mel & Jackie - for her Silver American Apparel dress) 

In any case, after all this rambling I can finally make a point, I got to thinking about teenagers now and how the teen stars of today are much more well dressed then the teen stars of my day...

ps - we weren't disappointed by the choice of wardrobe for Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin) either - but more on that later
